Frozen 2 is playing in the cinema, I have a daughter with long blonde hair and lots of nail polish.
Result: “Mamaaa, can you make me beautiful nails?” . Me: “Of course dear, I will write a blog about it right away.”
First practiced on myself so that I could handle it much better with my daughter. This is of course also the perfect moment to show how well the machine’s nail drill works. I file very lightly, so I don’t put any pressure on it so as not to damage my daughter’s nails. This works very well with the right cutter.
The basis for beautiful nails:

Now that all nails have been nicely filed, you need a number of ‘basic’ products to ensure that the gel polish adheres nicely.
As a base coat I use ‘Vena Lisa’ “peel of”, it is a very thick rubbery base coat, nice to apply, does not flow open too quickly. But I haven’t really experienced the “Peel off” yet. In any case, it is a pleasant base coat to work with and it adheres very well.

The base color
_CDL_MASK_66__For every nail art you must choose a base color, this is the color you build on. Easy colors are light pastels or black. For nail art it is best to use a solid color, no glitter, as your drawing or stamp is often lost and it quickly becomes too busy. I chose “White” from the brand ‘Coscelia’ (no. 29) and applied 2 layers. Between the layers
Once the base has been applied and you have to start the “real” nail art, it is best to apply protection to the finger. This way you prevent gel polish from getting on the skin. I use ‘liquid peel off tape’, which you can apply just like nail polish with a brush around the nail. Mine is light pink when wet then turns dark and translucent when dry.

For the white/blue transition, first apply an extra layer of white gel polish. Do NOT dry these under the lamp. On the still wet layer, apply a layer of light blue gel polish to the nail edge with a ‘dotting tool’. A dotting tool is actually a metal rod with a ball on the end. This is available in different thicknesses.

After you have applied the blue to the nail edge, take a ‘fanned’ brush. This is called a ‘fan brush or Fanbrush’. You can find them cheaply in the promotion or also on Ali. These are perfect for practice, it’s okay if they break.
Once you have done all this, let the nail dry under the lamp for at least 60 seconds. To be safe, I take 90 seconds.

Then apply a little glitter gel to the nail edge with the dotting tool. Repeat the steps as above with the blue color gel. Spread the glitter over the tip of the nail as evenly as possible. Stay in blue as much as possible.

Let the nails dry under the lamp for 90 seconds and apply your TOP coat.
Stamping

Do you want that little bit extra? That extra finishing touch that makes everything more fun? You can do that with a stamp. I did this with the stamping plates from “Biutee” and simple blue nail polish. You cannot stamp with gel polish!

Stamping is simple. Take a stamping plate and stamp (which is a gel-like pad). Make sure everything is clean and free of grease. Clean the stamp plate between each stamp you make and remove dirt from the stamp with a lint roller.

_CDL_MASK_282__ Scrape off the excess nail polish , always hold your scraper at a 45° angle to your stamping plate and scrape in 1 smooth movement.
_CDL_MASK_295__ Roll the stamper over the stamping plate. Do all this as quickly as possible! Otherwise the nail polish will dry. _CDL_MASK_299__

Finally, apply another layer of TOP coat to all nails and let it dry under the lamp for 90 seconds. Finished! Have fun!
