Of the many hobbies I have, one of them is painting. Preferably everything on walls. I enjoy doing this so much that a while ago I even considered doing this on a self-employed basis as an extra income. But that remained an idea as I would have been away from home too much with 2 small children.

How it started…

Almost 8 years ago their first child was born, a daughter. Because it was a first (then you still have plenty of time ;-)) I did everything in the room myself.

I have put a lot of time, love and passion into it and I am very proud of the result. The first mural I made was fairly simple for above the crib. Woezel and Pip were the chosen ones.

How do you get started with this?

With a good idea and good planning, a nice drawing and a projector.

Once the pencil drawing is on the wall you can start filling it in.

I always start with the lightest colors first.

The paints I used were sample wall paint and acrylic paint.

I always worked with a fine brush, not a coarse paint brush.

Once all the colors have been filled in and dried, you can add the black outline with a fine brush. And add the details.

, This was the final result. Woezel and Pip on a dream cloud above the cradle.
