Today I started working on the A-line dress for my daughter.

  • baby sleeping bag (working on)
  • dress with bias and flock foil for my daughter (working on now)
  • wrap blanket
  • crawling suit
  • complete set for my daughter (A-line dress or tunic + pants + cardigan)

I was able to find the fabric second hand and the bias tape comes from Veritas. I based the pattern on the A-line dress from the dream factory and adapted it to my own wishes.

I actually just love the Louisa dress from M-companie, but before I bought another pattern and spent money again, I wanted to try adapting a pattern myself.

Will it be a nice end result.

I already know one thing, a lot of bias tape = VEEEEEELLL work, pff haha

Here are a few photos with an explanation of the progress.

First copy the pattern and adjust it.

Think very hard about the cutting diagram and the hems + mark a few more changes.

And then cut everything out.

The kangaroo pocket at the front of the dress is double lined and finished with bais ribbon.

Put all parts together and pin in place, both outer garment and inner lining.

And yes, a lot of bias, so a lot of pins and time, ….

Tomorrow we will continue working on it….
